Ecco Golf has introduced two custom versions of its BIOM H4 shoe. Here's everything you need to know:
WHAT STANDS OUT: The two custom options of Ecco's BIOM H4 shoe were designed by PGA Tour players and Ecco Golf ambassadors Henrik Stenson and Erik van Rooyen. Stenson, who designed a custom version of the S-Three last year, returns to design an all-white upper and icy-blue outsole along with the words, "Henrik Stenson The Iceman" on the tongue. Van Rooyen's shoe features a white upper, black liner and orange and blue outsole. The South African debuted the shoes earlier this month at Kapalua.
OTHER FEATURES: The custom BIOM H4 options feature the same technology originally released with the BIOM H4, including Fluidform Direct Comfort, which is Ecco's updated process of bonding the midsole and outsole for optimal comfort and flexibility. The shoe also includes BIOM 2.0 technology, which offers an anatomical fit that promotes natural motion of the foot. Reduced stitching helps lighten the shoe, adding comfort along with an Ortholite insert in the shoe, and the MTN Grip outsole maintains Tour-quality stability and traction.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: “I’m very excited to once again join forces with Ecco Golf to create another ‘Iceman’ style. Ecco Golf is synonymous with crafting fantastic shoes, and it’s super cool that they continue to give me the chance to help create my own styles. I have stuck with the icy-cool colours for my BIOM H4, and I really wanted to make it look like you’re walking with ice on the sole of your shoe, hence the bright white and blue colours. I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair and turn some heads out on the golf course.” – Stenson
“I am chuffed to be working alongside the guys at Ecco Golf to create an awesome custom shoe design. I really enjoy being different and innovative on the golf course, and I think my design really emulates that feeling for me. It’s awesome to be able to create my own shoe and BIOM H4 is such a great shoe to do it with.” – Van Rooyen
