Speculation that Tiger Woods was going to withdraw from the Safeway Open was circulating on Monday midday. Before Woods confirmed that he will not play at the Safeway - nor will he play at the Turkish Airlines Open - Steven Bowditch tweeted a last-ditch effort to get the 14-time major champion to tee it up.
Don't wd tiger!! Come play a couple of practice rounds with me.. Your confidence will go through the roof!! https://t.co/oAIOR2NOc5

Humorous, because you may recall that Bowditch shot four straight rounds in the 80s - for a four-round total of 37 over par - earlier this year at the no-cut WGC-Cadillac.
Surely, a few rounds with Bowditch would boost Woods' confidence in his own game, which he described as "vulnerable" in the statement he released on his website.
Now we all sit and wait ... to see who Bowditch does convince to play practice rounds with him this week in Napa.
