Ryan Lavner joined Golf Channel in 2012 as a staff writer for GolfChannel.com and was promoted to senior writer in 2016. He is a regular contributor to the Golf Central blog, covers the PGA Tour and is a college golf expert. He also appears on "Morning Drive" and "Golf Central" while contributing to several digital properties on GolfChannel.com, including College Central, On the Clock, Fantasy Central and the Monday Scramble podcast.

Prior to joining the network, Lavner spent more than two years at Golfweek, covering everything from junior golf to the PGA Tour.

A native of western New York, Lavner graduated from the University of Georgia.
